ALEX Labs just completed a review of Connect CRE’s “Austin Readies for New $1.6B Convention Center.” Diane Alexander, MBA, MHA, ALEX Broker shared: “Another example of Austin stepping into the major leagues!”

From the Connect CRE article:

“…It’s time to get out with the old and in with the new. JE Dunn and Turner will build the new Austin Convention Center. LMN and Page Southerland Page will design and engineer it…It will begin in 2025 and cost $1.6 billion.. the economic impact on (Austin) is expected to (be) more than $750 million…(and) create 1,622 jobs…much of the new convention center will be built underground, up to 65 feet below street level… (with) Three separate buildings…The tallest will be 30 stories high…”
