Storage Cafe’s Take: “…The rental market experienced significant disruptions last year, mostly due to the global health crisis, which caused changes in both lifestyle and housing preferences. Amid health, affordability, and employment concerns, 18% more renters changed residences in 2020 compared to 2019. According to our recent analysis of approx. 1.7 million renter applications, 69% of renters looked for housing in the same state, with the remaining 31% eyeing a different state for their new home.
Winners of the urban-suburban battle: Renters living in big cities and high earners are less likely to relocate to the suburbs…”
