This custom ranch-style home is nestled on five secluded acres with private access to the Guadalupe River. We love the limestone walls and the cool stone floor, which is embedded with fossils millions of years old. Privacy is one of the best aspects of living here. Not only are we hidden from the road, but the main bedrooms are also set apart and sound-insulated from each other and the rest of the living spaces. We anticipated the possibility of expanding one day, so although the main house has three bedrooms, two baths, and 2,280 square feet, we obtained a septic permit for 2,600 square feet and installed the plumbing infrastructure for an apartment where the shop and one bay of the carport are now. Building fires in the backyard, swinging in the swing, lying in the hammock in the woods out front, taking walks in the neighborhood, and hiking and swimming at the River Oaks Homeowners' Park on the Guadalupe have been enjoyable activities for us and our guests. The land remains mostly in its natural state, with native trees and plants showcasing a variety of colors and blooms throughout the seasons.
